As always your work has a lot of feeling in it. However with it being a speed painting (meaning you just do it as fast as you can without going back to it to change it all the time) I can see a few things bugging me. The first thing is that he looks like he's got 4 chins. The shading on the chin dimple is fine but it shouldn't be as strong on the sides where the chin tapers into the jaw line. The other thing is that the light on the shoulders doesn't match the skintone at all. It might have worked if this wasn't a portrait and the light faded back into the skintone though. Everything else is great!

LOL... i take it you dont get into comics that much Silk. He is supposed to have his chin divided into 4 separate parts. They look weird that way. hehe. Actually the reason for the body not to match the head is coz he has a black suit which is why the highlight is kinda grayish/whitish in tone. But i guess it would look weird for someone who doesnt know the character. Dont feel bad k?

But if all those were quite jumping out from the piece, then i guess ive achieved what i wanted to portray. LOL.

Guess we read books of the opposite spectrums. Im pretty much a Marvel fan eversince i got hold of comic books. And if you did any Lenore or Gunslinger characters, i'd be totally clueless as well. LOL.

MArvel is gonna have a company wide event that would happen from March to nearly end of the year and it involves the Skrulls. They're shapeshifters who have invaded the Earth. Its gonna be fun coz right now, fans dont know who's a Skrull and who's legit.

Thanks for the support as well dude... if not for you guys, i wouldnt strive to improve as well! Seriously! As for the tablet, yeah... it was really difficult for me using a mouse back then as well. One can still make beautiful artworks but its really limited.

I have heard mates praising Marvel comics, but growing up as a girl in Greece in the 90s, not many people were into comics so I didn't know much about things like that.

Lenore I read because it's really funny and Gunslinger girls I read because I absolutely loved the DVD. Opposite ends of the spectrum cause gunslinger girls is a really deep and sad tale. What is bizarre is that both of these could be misunderstood at first glance. Lenore looks like a goth/horror comic but is in fact humoristic and gunslinger girls looks at first like another pervy/gory/Japanese manga what with little girls holding big guns but is in fact so deep you'd have to be quite mature to understand it.

Yeah.. thats what most people think about comic books. They see you read it and first thing that comes to their mind is immature. They dont understand how deep these plots go and how real this characters are.

I love how people react to comic books film adaptations... they see for the first time the amount of hardship and pain these characters go and they're so surprised! Here in the Philippines, comic books were really popular when i was a kid but lately, it has died down a lot probably coz of the economy and the emergence of computer games as well as early maturation of kids. Uhhh... this is going quite deep aint it? LOL. Lets juz say that most people here 5 years younger than me dont even know who GreenLantern or Thor is.
