This is a colab with the talented

's 3 way contest found here [link] Contestants were asked to draw one of his fave characters, NINJA BOY KABAMARU in our own style and we came up with this piece.
Lineart & Background
Colors
I decided to update the look of the character and have a modern feel to as i think the original cartoon was done waaaay back in the 80's.
Although a lot has been changed, i kept some of his physical features in check like his sharp chin, long hair and a bit of sideburns. Instead of the long scarf, i gave Kabamaru a hoodie which he could use when he needs his ninja outfit. I also gave him knee and forearm guards as well.
Silkyways did a great job of coloring the piece! I cant even recognize my lineart with what she's done with it. She combined the colors of Kabaru's orange and blue costumes into one and did it effectively.
