Ok.. first of all, you might say "WTF is POW? Shouldnt it be WIP???!!! LOL!!! "
Nope. WIP is "Work In Progress." This work is no longer in progress so... POW! as in "Progression of Work." LOL. So long after im gone and a new generation of artists will take our place, they will forever remember me when ever they see POW's in art exhibits and DeviantART v69.... if this catches on, that is.
Now, for the POW (yes... Progression of Work) at hand...
pic 1 : This is how i do sketches with a Graphire in Pshop. When im happy with it (who can be happy with that?) i set that layer to multiply.
pic 2: I add a layer below it and add color roughly and plan out where to add light sources (i couldnt find a good source so....)
pic 3: Another layer underneath the two for some background ideas which helped define some lightsources.
pic 4: I add more and more details on another layer on top of everything. Lights, shades, and other stuff like fingers. I make a new layer draw a lil bit and when im happy with the additions, i merge it to the layer below. Then another one and so on...
pic 5: this is the final version complete with battle marks on the armor and a lil bit of noise on top of the armor for texture... and flavor.
You can download this so you can zoom in on my details... (and sadly, mistakes as well) let me know if you liked this and if you want some more POW's.
I know bro... hehe. My lil cousin's teacher gives them an assignment everyweek called POW as well. As in Project of the Week. So why not use a familiar abbreviation as well.
Man... i loved highschool but i missed out a lot during that time! Arrrrgghhh! I played computer games all throughout and didnt score any girls! And that was when i still had abs and went to the gym! LOL
I so need to get back to drawing :/
Oh and btw, this pic is awesome
Is there any piece of mine that you wanna see the POW of? id be happy to show it to you.
